Terror Threat

It seems that the terror threat has grown to worldwide proportions. Thanks to all the namby pamby pinhead folks who oppose every thing we do that curbs their right to kill innocent folks..Several blogs seem to do nothing but blather about the deaths of innocent folks without realizing that those doing the killing are really terroist from the same country..Blaming the US for these deaths is wrong headed: We should blame the shortsightedness of the anti war protesters who seem to think the world will heal itself if only the US would bring all its troops back home and sit on our hands and watch while the flames of conflict get larger and larger in the rest of the world..We've done this before and will probably will do it again from the looks of things. It pains me to think how many American lives will be lost when all this comes to a head..Lesson 101: Terrorist do not give up: They have been fighting the nation of Israel for 58 yrs. Yes thats right 58 years. The world forced this tiny nation to back down in 1967 when they had defeated their aggressors. Will the world force the US to back down until we see the same warfare in our own country? THINK ABOUT IT!!!

Old Blogs

I reviewed my old blogs tonight and was surprised to find a number of posts from various surfers..Thanks to each and every one of you for taking the time to do so..Lesson 101; Review your blogs once in a while!!

High Tech Jobs

In a Cnet report Bill Gates said there is a shortage of high tech specialists..and there was no quick solution to the problem..Well maybe the industry should take a jaundiced eye look at why the pipeline has dried up..Why bust your butt for a degree in something where the job you need has been sent off shore..Just desserts for companies too greedy for their own good..

China backpeddeling

If you rattle the saber while hiding behind a tree, Who is going to believe you? From what I am hearing now, it would behove China to keep her loose tongue to herself. Congress is already stinging from her direction to butt out of the oil deal..Aren't you glad that congress is paying no attention. or are they??

Peace, Peace, there is no peace

To you who think that to attain peace, all you have to do is declare you are a peaceful nation, tear your defenses down and hope for the best are too cynical for words..Since ww11 there has been only one bright spot that I can recall and that was the economic crushing of the Soviet Union..We could not have done that without a strong military to back it up..All wars since then have resulted in pullouts and truces brought on by the lack of support and the skeaky wheels of the non-supportive element of the American public..For this group, lessons learned don't seem to last till the water gets hot..We as a nation have always fought for peace in the world..Would you have us stop now?

Chinese Threat

Talk about sabre rattling..china has threatened to use nulcear weapons against the United States in certain conditions..what conditions? Don't know..Anyway there may be two huge parking lots on this globe if they try anything like that..I can't even imagine a nation making a statement like that..I'm not afraid, are you?

Star Trek In Iraq

Remember the phasers in the Star Trek TV show? It seems they are about to become a reality..It was discused on "coast to coast" radio show last night and I did a little research on my own and discovered there are working models for just such a porpose..Soon there may be an Humvee in Iraq equipped for use..How many lives could be saved if we could only disable the enemy and take him captive or kill him if it was absolutely necessary. Heaven help us though if these things get into he wrong hands. This technology is not new however, it has been around for quite a while just waiting until small enough power supplies could be fielded..

England attack

All I am going to say about this attack is that I simply don't understand what the enemy could possibly gain here..There were many sympathizers in England and indeed many more were opposed to the war in Iraq..This could bring on a greater resolve on the part of the English People and to that I applaud..

Troop pull-out

There is no way american troops can leave until the new government controled security is able to defend the country from insurgency. Imagine this scenerio: American troops pull out; insurgency quickly builds up and takes the prison and releases all the 8000 thugs. They in turn find and reseat Sadam. I don't believe we could even imagine the slaughter that would take place on the folks that were tied in any way to the new government or the Americans. In spite of possibilities such as these, some folks want us out now..AS the situation stands today I am encouraged that the sunnis may wake up and smell the roses which would pretty well unify the folks other than the diehard fanatics..There may be light at the end of the tunnel soon..

Iran

I just had to get this off my chest since the election in Iran..They comitted an unanswered act of war when they held our embassy hostage for over 400 days..I think they are about ready to do some more dirty work with probably the same response from the US. We can't expect any help from the rest of the world as they are already in bed with the arab street or fear the arabs they have in their own countries. If we wait too long again, we may suffer damage to our country that will make 9\11 look like a sunday school picnic..We've had to fight wars on our own soil before, but no one alive today would know first hand..may we never have to do so again. I don't really believe in luck, but somehow we have escaped having our country ravaged by military conflict..THAT'S BECAUSE WE'RE WILLING TO FIGHT TO DEFEND IT..

Patriotism

If you have read any of my blogs, surely you know that I am a genuine patriot and you know me by name. I am not afraid to say what I think and I try not to use offensive words in the process..Tomorrow is independence day..I won't be rallying around the flag pole because I like to spend the day with my family as they are the ones that have supported and believe in me. However, this blog is not primarily about that..I would like to be inquisitive to you who read this. Have you noticed how many college aged folks seem to have an aversion to war and think peace can be achieved through minding your own business and negotiation? That would be fine if the rest of the world felt the same way, but they don't..My Question to you is why are so many kids thinking this way..I grew up with war and fully understood what it was all about. I never questioned the need to serve. I'm wondering if it may be because so many colleges are polluting their minds in this direction. What say you?

Oconnor Retirement

After the out of touch decisions they have made recently, maybe they should all retire..Maybe we could outsource their function and duties to India. Just think of all the money we could save. I know theat it all sounds stupid, but so are a lot of the other jobs being outsourced..Gee what about another thought ..Maybe we could fill their Jobs with illegal aliens.SSSSSSSSt
