Stunning pose there Trooper! Parade rest, liberty style.
You have to admit, the Army would look much better bringing back the uniform of the 40s. Works for the Marines.

When I firsst enlisted I was in the Army Air Force..A rag tag outfit with uniforms to match..When it bacame the Air Force, I bacame a paratrooper and I really liked the Eisrnhower Jacket and the Jump Boots..a lot more distinctive uniform..Never wanted to leave that unit..I felt more like a soldier and less like a lackey..
