Nothing secret anymore?

I have just about had it with the media and a stupid bunch of talking heads that have constantly been on the tv discussing things that should be under security wraps. Why don't you just invite the terriorists over here and treat them to a congressional oversight panel so they can have first hand information on every thing that we are doing to help us defeat them..That way they won't have to listen to al jezeera or anyone else to know when to change their tactics. Are we fighting a war or playing tiddlewinks? And futhermore the members of congress that don't know how to keep things from the enemy should be gagged or better yet expelled from congress altogether. The American people can be better protected if our secret information is not treated like media fodder..

:Border Fence

It will be interesting to see if congress is willing to back up their legislation to build a fence along the Mexican/American border to discourage the thousands of illegal aliens that are pouring across every night and also in the day time..Vincente Foxx is having a cow about this proposal..What do you think the outcome will be keeping in mind that it is not yet budgeted or funded which will take longer than the current crop of lawmakers are in office? So Mr Foxx just hold your water because you may be out of office too before anything happens except a whole lot of politicing..

What should have been done

How can we get the Juditiary, aclu and other carpers out of the war effort..What should have been done by congress to stop a repeat of the political bog downs of the past and clear a path to finish the war unhindered by constitutional problems was to declare war, then suspend the constitution until hostilities are over..Fighting wars is what the military is trained to do..They do not need constant political and constitutional bickering to interfere in any way..It doesn't work very well when trying to run the conflict by commitee and pollititions>..I was angered to the nth degree when it was revealed that a soldier might have to worry about whether he was within certain guidelines before he could shoot. Our military should never be hampered by such nonsense..

Wartime secrecy

If Bush had gone to congress to seek authority to monitor certain calls, it would have been in the papers the next day. Is there no way to keep critical operations secret? Why are we not considered on a wartime footing of enough urgency not to arrest the security leaks from congress or any other government agency or person who does not have a need to know and certainly not to any press unless you want the enemy to know for the purpose of deception..This begs for some explanation..Are we at war or not? Is this a political, congresional, or civil conflict that can be run by the courts? I have yet see any military conflict that can be run by congress or courts of law. I have lived through two such conflicts(Korea and Vietnam)and saw them degenerate to conflicts of political correctness(whatever that is) and we had to cut and run because war cannot be won that way. Maybe some day when we get the military all automated and no one has to be exposed to danger, the congresss can sit at their consoles and fight all the conflicts they want..sheesh

Border Protection

It is really interesting to note that the corporate business folks are crying that if the illegals are stopped from coming to this country to work, they will suffer terribly with no one to do the work..At the same time they are sending work to other parts of the world and reducing the jobs for our legal workers in almost every industry you can name..Do you get the picture here? Alliance between the corporate entity and the congress to strip this country of the prosperity we have enjoyed for years and drive the US into a non competetive player in the world market. We already have lost thousands and thousands of manufacturing jobs and many of our support type jobs that can be out-sourced..Is there no one alarmed that we make almost nothing in this country. We will not be a super power for much longer at this rate. The money moguls are a little shortsighted in their greed to ride the cheap labor market..Folks have to receive a fair labor price to be able to buy anything..Henry Ford knew this when he started making the model-T fords on an assembly line and selling them at a price his workers could afford..As for the assinine saying that we hear constantly"The illegals only take the jobs that americans don't want", I say it is impossible for our folks to take those jobs that are offered at a wage that cannot sustain living unless you are a hermit living in the park and have no family to support..and besides that it is a myth that the illegals are taking those type jobs..I see with my own eyes every day the carpenters, plumbers, electricians, the roofers etc. that are doing the jobs that used to be done by skilled craftsmen who no longer have a job. The real strength of this nation is going into the toilet!!!As for the imigrants, don't give them jobs or benefits and they will stay at home..Industry will have to pay more to get the work done and the products will cost more, but so what, our people will be working>>

Retrospect

On Monday Aug 1st I said that I thought that John Bolton was just the man we needed to poke the UN in the eye..It seems to me that assumption was pretty much on the mark..What say you??

democratic seat loss

If all you demos keep up this anti war charade, you will probably be replaced..I have a solution to keep you from losing the democratic seat though and that is to replace you with another democrat that has a little more understanding of the war on terrorism..Anyone with a little hindsight and an ounce of foresight can see that we are locked in a struggle with the entire wahabic mititants and those folks will have to be destroyed as they will never give up..Why? Because they think that if they die while in battle with infidels such as you and I, they will instantly go to heaven..These lunatics are scattered all over the world just waiting for the right moment to loose Jihad on us all..You probably don't think I have all my marbles and have more than one loose screw, but what if I am right..and if so, we need to all pull together..The only people I'm hearing from that is not stumbling around in the dark is our Military, many republicans, a few stalwart democrats..What are you guys waiting for? Dump Dean, dump Kerry, Dump anyone that aids the terrioists by showing them we are weak and will probably pull out of Iraq so they can fill it with many many jihadists..Then who will take them on? The UN? Pretty funny huh!!!

The corporate needle

The American taxpayers are about to get hit with billions of dollars to bail out the auto makers that make a product that auto destructs in 5 to 10 years..They may let us pay for the little things like health insurance for 450 thousand retirees and the development of new fuel-cell vehicles. I wonder if we could use a little tax money to pay for these subsidized products(yeah when the moon turns to cheese). How many times has this happpened? The first one that I remember was the savings and Loan bailout, then the harley davidson, then the chrysler motors, and just about all the airlines. It must be nice to be able to mismanage so badly and always be able to dip into the public dole for corporate ventures while at the same time chastising the individuals who have fallen on hard times and need a pittance so they can survive. It's a wonderful world we live in; just close your eyes and press forward..
