Military service in general, is based on several important things; honor, integrity, respect for authority, discipline, and sacrifice for those great principles of freedom and liberty. When the civilian and military leadership has none of these qualities, guess what? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out. The senior leadership of the Army is in a grave state denial. They think it is about pay and benefits when in fact the warrior spirit has been broken by the cancer of political correctness

Did I miss something in the news? I heard about the soldier firing on the car and killing one passenger. I thought the incident was to be investigated.
I can't really blame the guy for shooting. The car wasn't suppose to be there. If every car is in fact a potentual bomb, it would be unwise not to fire on it.
I really don't understand joans comment. Is she for or against your posting? I think our Military still has the qualitys she spoke of. And it seems our guys still have the good old warrior spirit. Just ask the people of Fallujah how they like our mens(and womens) fighting spirit. They don't have much of an insurgentsy problem lately.
If all the cry babies over here had their way, Fallujah would still be a stronghold for the terriosts.

I agree with Howard's post. I was thinking about the Marine who is up on murder charges just for doing his job. Who wants to be sent to fight a war and then have his hands tied due to political correctness? Like Howard said, no wonder reenlistments are down!!!!

Maybe everyone does not keep up with the war in Iraq and does not know what is happening there. And indeed I don't know it all either, but I do know that a Lt. is being charged with murder for doing just that..If that is not political correctness then I don't know what to call it.
