What about Iran?

What do you think we should do about Iran? I think that we should do nothing and keep a very big stick ready when the Europeans have talked themselves silly and utterly failed as they are bound to do. Germany down already, France not up to start with and we'll soon know about the rest of them..They gave us the shaft so lets just lay low and let them frost over..

Proven by that news report, talking is not going to help us any, and I believe military action is inevitable.

My suggestion is, one random night, send in a air strike, cripple the Iranian's ability to research, and develop nuclear technology and make a public statement that Iran will continue to be a military target unless they abide to the laws lined out by the United Nations.

You know, Iranian officials are on their high horses and they are touting that the U.S. will be blown away by the ability of their response if military action is taken. To tell you the truth folks, I laugh at it. What are they going to do? Retaliate? If they retaliate, they risk a full blown war, which they have pretty words to mock, but have nothing to back up.

Iran needs to be set in its place, which is a 3rd world, terrorist-harboring state. Our policy for Iraq (which you agreed with Mr. Davis) was to attack an enemy that was bound to become an even greater viable threat. Waiting for backbone-less European leaders to yell at Iran while Iran flips them off and continues to develop weapons that could kill millions, is a very dangerous policy - one that I do not support.

We need to strike now, swiftly, and with precision. We aren't spending millions of taxpayer’s dollars to up our CIA for nothing. Let's get some Intel, let's get some locations; let’s get some names. I call for action now, and not take the chance and wait.

  • Howard: The European Model is what you wish you have accomplished. A unifying structure that maintains cultural diversity while profiting its member states. You see, in this era of globalization, we don't need people like you - we need people who think FORWARD and embrace the idea that we are all the same, stop holding the world by its balls and monopolizing the source so that you could take 3 showers a day, watch cable on your 100" TV and drive 3 SUVs. We have worked so hard to senbilize people to their environment and the fragility of our planet.

I'm happy your generation is just about to extinct, leaving room for people like us: young dynamic and dicrimination-free.

So stop feeding us with your selfish propaganda. Dismantle those 2000 warheads and use your energy to make the world a better place.

    Overlord out.

  • If your cause is so right, why do you need weapons to back it up?? - take those away and you got NOTHING.

By Blogger Ghassene, at August 16, 2005 8:09 AM

  • You didn’t think I wouldn’t comment on this Mr. Davis did you? Ha!

“The European Model is what you wish you have accomplished. We have worked so hard to senbilize people to their environment and the fragility of our planet.”

This is a typical example radical liberalism that maims this country more so than they can ever understand because they are blinded by a variety of things, most of which can easily be wrapped up in emotion.

I have a good feeling that Overlord has no idea or refuses to appreciate what American Exceptionalism is, Mr. Davis. As you and I both know, and as you have defined more so than myself, America is the land of opportunity, prosperity, and happiness. Millions of people flock to this country every year in hopes to live their dream, and when they are successful, the radical left hate that. You know, all this talk about leveling the playing field, distributing the wealth, it is all bull! Instead of lifting up those people on the bottom, they punish the successful, which defines American Exceptionalism. The reason they do that is because they feed off of those on the bottom. They need someone to vote for them, they need a demographic to use as a political figure, they need the numbers so they can wave it around and open up an opportunity for their elected officials.

If Overlord and the ignoramuses like them ever want to see their agenda put to work back in the White House, they need to realize that America does not suck; that America is not the cause of misery around the world; that America is not guilty 100% of the time. I have a 54” High Definition TV in my living room, and you know how we bought it? We bought it because hard working people in this household earned money and used it. I have a chrome, and stainless steel refrigerator in my kitchen, and you know how we bought it? Our tax cut check came in. We spent that money and assisted in the economy. We bought a new house 2 years ago, we bought a new family car one year ago, and this computer I’m using was paid for by people who are living the American dream!

This is why radical liberals will not win an election anytime soon Mr. Davis, because they have lost touch with the American people. Is his life so baseless that the platform of which he touts stands only on the hope that those at its base are miserable? All sensible people have come to the conclusion that we are at war with Terrorism, and the best thing for American is to win that war, whether you agree with its theaters or not. The radical left haven’t even jumped on that boat yet. They want us to fail just so they can embarrass our leaders.

What it must be like to be you Overlord, to wake up every morning and see the lone superpower with a growing economy freeing millions of oppressed people and all you can do is sniff at our efforts – at American Exceptionalism.

  • To the Simian thunderlord: My generation has been referred to as the greatest generation..However, the US soldier today is the best equipped, smartest, fighting man that there has ever been..They are indeed prepared to take over where we left off. You must be terribly lonely in your little world..I don't believe you have an abundance of people to share it with. I'll not waste any more of my time responding to anything you say.

  • 'Freeing Millions of People'

Freeing them from what? From themselves?

I understand your point, Tetracyd, however The American exceptionalism you talk about is really a direct consequence of a series of events, particular to the US. Had it not have been for WWI, WWII and subsequently the Cold War, the US wouldn't have gotten involved itself in the matters of other sovereign states.

Second, you use words that are backed up by an absurd Nuclear Weapons stockade (something like over 1000 of them???? did you want to take down all the other planets of the solar system too??) and a killing-machine arsenal fueled by the multi-billion dollar weapons industry

Third, the hatred towards the American people that we see around the Planet is a direct consequence of American actions to overthrow the Soviet Union and its communist influence in countries such as Afghanistan. People like me do not hate the American Individual, and I don’t hate the US as a country. I despise their government and what they are doing to the rest of the Planet. Of course you cannot blame everything on the US. But you can’t deny the fact that it has contributed MAJORLY to the current socio-political and economic crises of our Planet.

Fourth - You call it jealousy? It seems to be that you are the one that is expressing deep, emotional arguments, not me. I am well aware and educated about the accomplishments of the American empire over the 20th century and I respect them, the American societies are based on the accomplishments of the Individual and heroic idols, and the capacity to create and build from scratch. However when you start using force and stampeding over International organizations and state-sovereignty, that, Tetracyd, is when the line is crossed.

You see there is nothing wrong with being a Patriot or feeling proud of one’s country. But your methods of governance and international politics only help increase the international community’s own demise. Instead of bringing people together and to work towards a unique goal that would profit everyone equally, you drive them apart and only work towards your OWN interest. That is not how things work, especially that we have finally realized that it is OUR planet and that whatever happens on one end will ultimately affect the other.

Fifth - this war you are fully engaged in is nothing but a race for resources. Everyone knows fossil fuels aren't going to be around soon and the US is planning long-term actions for their control and assimilation and this, WITH ANY MEANS POSSIBLE (and even though there are immense oil reserves in Texas which are not being used - maybe they will once the rest of the Planet's oil is depleted by Americans).

Finally, it is clear, even to the neutral reader that your patriotism is blinding you by letting you believe in false-realities of Greatness and Glory and Heroism and Democracy. Wow Democracy. What a big word don’t you think? Add that to Freedom and War and bam, there you go (Coupled with the fact that you are probably from a pretty conservative environment in some Alabama town)!

Everyone knows when too much is too much, except the likes of you Tetracyd. You see, you live and swim in a war-culture. It is more likely that either you, your brother, father, cousins, neighbors or whatever has gone to war and possibly died. All this emotion, anger and energy would have would be wasted and flushed down the toilet (not to mention the ridiculous amount of $$ being taken from your own ‘hard-working’ life) if you didn’t believe in your conservative ideas and what your government is doing. It's ok though. At least you are of a dying breed, the narrow-minded ones, the ones who will quickly die off to be replaced by more open-minded holistic-thinkers. See that's what we call thinking forward - you, you have conservative values easily comparable to archaic human civilizations of the 16th century.

Go parade with your president and all his rockets - it won't last for long. It is your own people who will realize that they are being herded, enslaved and controlled. Until then, I guess they want you to keep your mind shut and buy buy buy buy buy buy buy.

Like I said before, take away those rockets and you got nothing. It’s to late for you to look at the big picture. I can’t wait for the rise of my generation to take office, the young, dynamic forward thinkers.

  • Had it not have been for WWI, WWII and subsequently the Cold War, the US wouldn't have gotten involved itself in the matters of other sovereign states.
And if Eve didn’t have Adam eat the fruit…

So from your standpoint, those who are prosperous are evil, selfish, rich people. And American is prosperous because we wanted to defend ourselves from a very real enemy. See this is why your political standing as proven not to work. Your party’s solution to the Cold War was for us to get rid of our nuclear weapons. Appeasement and pessimism has been in your playbook from day one. Go back to the founding of this nation, and the drafting of our Declaration of Independence and say, “Oh no! We can’t do that, only 33% of the people are in favor of this!”

Your entire post is a direct derivative of your utter refusal to tackle large issues that are facing us today. Radical Islam has been attacking us for over 20 years. They have openly declared war on our country, and we ignored them. Clinton appeased; Clinton tried to make friends; Clinton wanted everybody to like him; Clinton did what the left always wants everybody to do, and you know what we got for it? We got a burning hole in Manhattan where 3,000 people went to work one morning!

Prosecuting terrorism, appeasing terrorism, turning a blind eye to a gathering threat is a ridiculous option, one that you embrace, proven by your reluctance to understand the broader reasons we engaged Saddam Hussein. Iran is another example, you want to appease them, be their friend, everything the left wants happened, and those who are older, more experienced, and more informed than the likes of you have declared that policy wrong, immature, and ineffective.

If I were you, I wouldn’t be so hopeful that your kin is rising to power because it is your ideology that is being trampled, and destroyed by people like Howard Dean, Michael Moore, and Cindy Sheehan.

The utterly rude comments you made to a respectable elder man who has served his country with identical rhetoric at my group blog you have already began to trash, states your intentions louder than you can possibly imagine.

You better get off your high horse soon, cause your nose is beginning to bleed.

YOu have to understand that the commentary engaged by our Simians was for DISCUSION purposes only. We did not mean, orhad the intention to, attck you as an individual. We simply counter-argumented on yoyur opinions about current political matters..

It was a pleasant Discussion. We will respect your website and will not attempt any more disruptions. you do, I hope, remmeber how all this started?

  • How can we have the largest stockpile of nukes in the world, and they want to spend a few billion to build more, and then tell other nations they cant? I know were arrogant but lets not be hypocrytes. oh any i know im not much good at spelling, my generation grew up with spell check, yep i know so dont bother pointing it out. untill we stop torturing people get rid of at least most of our nukes and stop using land mines, yes we are the ONLY industrialised nation still using landmines (in the DMZ in Korea)and untill we stop these things im not sure why any country would listen to us. Do as i say not as i do may work for children but it doesnt work in international politics.
